Dear Reader, this exclusive notes are prepared based on the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) syllabus for polytechnic students. In this exclusive notes I clearly explained about the concept of Deadlocks with the help of diagram in Operating System. I also discussed about the condition for Deadlocks in Operating System separately. There are four conditions for Deadlocks are discussed in this notes for your better clear understanding. The four conditions for Deadlocks are Mutual Exclusion, Hold & Wait, No Pre-emption, Circular Wait. These conditions for Deadlocks are clearly explained in point-wise based on diagrams. This lecture also covered about the concept of Deadlocks Prevention in briefly in point-wise manner. Finally, I discussed about the Deadlocks Avoidance along with Advantages and Disadvantages of Deadlocks concept in Operating System.
