Dear Reader, this exclusive notes are prepared based on the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) syllabus for polytechnic students. In this notes I explained about the Five State Process Model of Operating System in details with the help of diagram. The states of Five State Process Model are New, Ready, Running, Blocked & Exit. These five states are explained clearly in point-wise for the betterment of students. The concept of Process Transitions are also explained in this lecture. I also explained about the Seven State Process Model clearly in this lecture with the help of diagram. The concept of Process Schedulers are also covered in details. The Process Schedulers are Long Term Scheduler, Short Term Scheduler & Medium Term Scheduler. These schedulers are explained one by one in point-wise. The concept of Process Scheduler are explained with the help of diagram.
