Dear Reader, this exclusive notes are prepared based on the State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) syllabus for polytechnic students. In this notes I clearly explained about the Concepts of Thread and Process in Operating System & also discussed their difference between them. This lecture covered Single Threading and Multi Threading concepts in details with the help of programs in point-wise. Features of Multi Threading are explained clearly in this notes. The important features of Multi Threading are Responsive, Fast Execution, Lower Resource Consumption, Better System Utilization, Simplified Sharing & Communication and Parallelization. Some limitation of Multi-Threading are also discussed in this lecture for your better understanding. The limitation of Multi-Threading are Synchronization, Thread Crashes a Process, Concurrency and Data Process. The concepts of Input/Output and Scheduling are also explained in this lectures for your knowledge.
